PostSubject: Optima, Apex, or Accura   January 18th 2010, 2:25 pm

New guy to the forum here! I am in the market for a new ML gun. I have a Knight Bighorn that I have shot for several years but I want something new and something that is esier to clean. What I am looking for in a gun is something that clean up easily, is lightweight, and can be shot well with open sights. I have always been a sabot shooter but i want to try powerbelts. What are the difference between the three CVA guns and which would best fit my needs? I have looked at the T/C Triumph but they seem to be more suited to scopes and not open sights.

Thanks!

Mark

i havent shot one yet but cva has a totally redesigned Optima. has the quick release breech plug, stainless steel barrel and it starts at under $250 at cabelas.

The Accura is a superb rifle, i own one and am loving it after each pull of the trigger.

Apex is a fantastic rifle as it can use centerfire.shotgun and muzzleloader barrels and comes with an adjustable trigger. I have one coming in for Review/Testings.

You cant go wrong with either of them. They even redesigned the cva wolf and have the Accura V2 coming out with quick release Breech plug and some recoil burners in the stock.

If it were me, i'd head over to cabelas and check out the new Optima, i honestly dont think you can find a rifle anywhere brand new on the market to match it.

Very Happy Smile Cool cheers

I've got 2 accura's and as far as I'm concerned, they are second to none. I find them easy all the way around. Shooting, loading, cleaning, easy breech plug access and easy to sight in. You won't be disappointed with the accura Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation

If you like open sights, you may want to first go with a stock CVA model that has had open sights factory installed in the past, which covers most all inline models except the new Apex(no open sights installed out of the factory)

I am now a scope shooter out of necessity, so I'm going to try the new Apex in .45 (which I have already ordered).
